JULIE CARBOXYTHERAPY

WHAT IS JULIE CARBOXYTHERAPY?

The procedure involves intradermal or subcutaneous injection of controlled doses of carbon dioxide. It is a safe, precise, minimally invasive and clinically proven method used to rejuvenate the skin, fight wrinkles, skin laxity, lack of elasticity, cellulite, local excess fat, stretch marks and scars. The therapy is also used for patients with erythema and dilated blood vessels, alopecia, as well as psoriasis outbreaks, peripheral circulation disorders, or ulcers and delayed wound healing. Carboxytherapy has been hailed as a 21st century cosmetology revelation and the biggest breakthrough in aesthetic medicine since Botox.

WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF THE TREATMENT'S ACTION?

The gas interacts with the surrounding cells, triggering a process of oxygenation to remove carbon dioxide. After just a few minutes, an improvement in the blood supply to the cells of the treatment area is observed. Co2 activates cleansing processes ( lymph and intercellular space drainage), nourishes and improves the collagen structure of skin cells, giving a clear and lasting effect of firming and improving skin elasticity. By provoking the body to defend itself against spot-administered CO2, the activity of blood vessels increases, which improves blood circulation, and the increased activity of the circulatory system results in an increase in the level of hemoglobin in the patient’s blood.

There is a significant increase in the production of collagen and elastin in the treated area (about 40%), which, together with the activation of vascular flow and an increase in the supply of oxygen and nutrients, leads to a reduction in wrinkles and skin regeneration. CO2 injections enhance repair processes by creating new blood vessels (neovascularization), dilating existing ones (revascularization), and activating adipocytes ( fat cells) to activate the processes of lipolysis ( fat cell breakdown).

ISN'T CO2 HARMFUL?

Carboxytherapy, which was originally a medical therapy and has been known for more than 80 years, is now the most popular rejuvenation method in South America, North America and Europe. Thanks to years of work by scientists and doctors, numerous studies and clinical trials have been successfully conducted. Carbon dioxide is a non-flammable and non-toxic gas, in cosmetology already deservedly called the beauty molecule. CO2 injection is completely safe – carbon dioxide is produced by our cells as a result of burning oxygen and excreted as a metobolyte by our lungs. So we don’t administer substances foreign to the body, which means we use Co2 as a natural, therapeutic agent that oxygenates and renews cells. The amount of Co2 administered in one treatment is equal to the amount of Co2 produced by our body during moderately intense exercise. Carbon dioxide, which is 20 times more soluble than oxygen, is also absorbed much more easily, and is expelled from the body with exhaled air after about 5 minutes.

Modern CO2 application equipment and multidirectional observations and developments in diagnostic technology have confirmed the method’s exceptional effectiveness and lack of negative effects.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD THE PROCEDURE BE REPEATED?

Depending on the severity of the problem and the type of condition. Carboxytherapy in the area of the face, neck and décolleté can be carried out as a one-time treatment, as a so-called “one-off”. Banquet treatment about 3 – 4 days before an important outing to look fresh and vital.

On the other hand, permanent wrinkle reduction, cellulite reduction and disease entities (alopecia, psoriasis) are therapies in which measurable results are obtained through a series of treatments carried out with a frequency of 1-2 times a week, about 6- 20 treatments (depending on the initial state of the skin, type and severity of the problem). The series of treatments is followed by a reduction phase, which in each case includes 1 treatment after 2 weeks, then 1 treatment 3 weeks after the series is completed, and then to maintain the effects it is recommended to perform the treatment on average once a month or follow-up treatments once every few months.

DOES THE PROCEDURE REQUIRE SPECIAL PREPARATIONS?

No, after ruling out contraindications and filling out the patient’s chart, the procedure can be performed practically on the march.

IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL? WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE AFTER THE PROCEDURE? HOW DOES HEALING TAKE PLACE?

The treatment is not a relaxation procedure however, micro-injections performed with an ultra-thin needle provide relatively little soreness, similar to the feeling of pulling out a hair. The spread of gas under the skin can be likened to a slight hypodermic distension. Thanks to the use of special treatment programs divided into individual body parts, full control during the treatment is ensured, and the gas heating system is a patient-friendly solution found in our top-of-the-line device. The elevated temperature gas ensures that discomfort is reduced to a minimum.

The method is safe, has no complications, and requires no recovery or healing period. Patient discomfort is minimal, involving only the need to puncture the skin and the temporary sensation of gas traveling under the skin. Rare redness that occurs disappears without a trace within a few hours after the procedure, and in some patients even up to 15 minutes after the procedure.
