Platelet-rich fibrin (I-PRF) is a protein, a component of blood plasma rich in extremely valuable stem cells, leukocytes and platelets. Thanks to a breakthrough fibrin formula, growth factors are stimulated during fibrin treatment to promote tissue regeneration while rejuvenating the skin. This is a completely safe method, as the procedure uses the patient’s own blood, from which the product is extracted.
Platelet-rich plasma and platelet-rich fibrin are substances included in the so-called “platelet-rich plasma”. autologous blood products. However, platelet-rich fibrin differs from platelet-rich plasma in composition and structure, as well as a different way of centrifuging the blood during collection. Unlike plasma, platelet-rich fibrin has a cross-linked, three-dimensional structure. This causes the platelets contained in platelet-rich fibrin to release growth factors much more slowly. As a result, the effects last longer and are better. Thanks to the fact that the process of centrifugation of blood is different, we extract substances that include not only platelets and growth factors, but also other cells (fibrin, leukocytes, stem cells) that benefit the skin.
After the I-PRF procedure, minor pinprick marks, redness, swelling and local tenderness may occur. However, all these symptoms are completely normal and usually subside within 2-3 days.
An anesthetic cream is applied to the face, while the skin is anesthetized, blood is drawn from the Patient/Patient ( usually about 20-30 ml, depending on the selected area), then placed in a test tube with sepration gel and anticoagulants and placed in a centrifuge, which is set to the appropriate parameters. After centrifugation, we see the yellow or amber contents, which is our plasma. It is taken into a syringe and administered as with needle mesotherapy. Fibrin injection lasts, depending on the site, approx. 10-35 min.
Platelet-rich fibrin in aesthetic medicine treatments is one of the most popular regenerative ingredients for natural results. This is all because the substance is isolated from the patient’s own blood and contains a number of valuable active ingredients, such as growth factors, which strongly stimulate skin regeneration processes and the synthesis of new collagen fibers, as well as improve microcirculation. Fibrin therapy for dark circles under the eyes is therefore an ideal method for evening out skin tone and restoring proper elasticity and tone, making the look clearer and fresher.
