What is Lip Augmentation?

Lip augmentation is a type of cosmetic procedure that allows you to get full, curly lips. But what exactly is lip augmentation, lip fillers.

 

 

How does lip augmentation look like ?

Aleksandra Strobel-Pytel, a doctor of aesthetic medicine, gives the filler with a thin needle, chosen technique to achieve the effect intended by the client. There are various methods of lip augmentation, this process requires a lot of experience and many years of training.

Depending on the patient’s wishes we can do it:

• lip augmentation
• lip shape correction
• strengthening the contour of the mouth
• filling in small wrinkles around the mouth
• raising the drooping corners of the mouth

What happens after the procedure of lip augmentation ?

After the procedure, lips may be swollen, swollen, reddened, painful or bruised. The symptoms are strongest in 2-3 days, although the healing process usually takes about 14 days – during this time lips after acid can change size/shaped, lumps can be felt.

The day after the treatment should not be a day:

• practice sports
• fly
• drink alcohol
• smoke

An obligatory check-up visit should take place approx. 14 days after the procedure to assess the effect as well as to control the smoothing process.

When is the final effect of lip augmentation ?

How long does the effect of filler last ?

The effect of the treatment depends on the preparation used, usually lasts from 6 to 12 months.

How should I prepare for the treatment ?

Before the treatment, it is advised not to drink alcohol for at least one hour. 48h, taking anticoagulants. We encourage you to take Vitamin C with routine. If you have a tendency to herpes, you should take acyclovir in a therapeutic dose for 3 days before the treatment. Before the procedure, the surgeon will collect an interview with you and check if you have any contraindications to the procedure. 

Does lip augmentation hurt ?

Most often before the procedure you will be anesthetized with a proven and very effective lidocaine cream.  Then, depending on what we want to obtain, we choose the way we model our lips. The procedure itself causes some discomfort, but takes about 10 minutes.

How much acid is used to enlarge lips?

The first thing you should know is that there are pre-filled syringes on the market: 0.55 ml, 0.7 ml and a full range of 1 ml ampoules. The preparations are available with or without anesthesia (directly in the product). During one treatment the optimal volume is 1 ml of filler.

Can only 0.5 ml be given ?

Yes, but if the chosen type of filler is available in 1 ml package, this will not affect the price of the treatment. Unused product will be disposed of and cannot be reused.

 

Contraindications for lip augmentation treatement

• pregnancy,
• breastfeeding,
• cancer,
• infections such as the cold and herpes,
• chronic use of blood-thinning drugs
• autoimmune diseases.

What does that mean? We do not perform treatments during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Similarly, during active cancer and for 5 years from complete remission. Infections – you know! The question is what about autoimmune diseases. While most of them are contraindications, we perform the procedure in people with hypothyroidism, which is balanced by pharmacotherapy and does not have high levels of antibodies.
